Adjusting to life with Dakota
It’s been two weeks since we brought her home and while we’ve spent a small fortune on dog toys that she chews through in minutes if not seconds, how could you not love a face like this?

Having a dog has made me realize that there is more to life than just work. I now look forward to leaving work to come home and take her for a walk after dinner or play fetch with her in the backyard. The 5:30am bathroom runs aren’t always my favorite, but Mike and I take turns so it all washes out in the end.
We’ve also recently installed a doggie door in the basement. It allows her to get in and out to the backyard while we’re at work. We’ve bounced around the idea of setting up a webcam to see what she does during the day as one day she pulled the head off of a mop and used it as a chew toy. She’s a clever dog.
On May 7th she is getting fixed and maybe after a little more obedience training, we can take her to Doggie Day care. Anyone have any recommendations? Let us know!
